Step by Step How to Withdraw Money from MasterCard with ATM in Cambodia

From time to time, I meet people from other countries to whom I ever work with when they are traveling to visit Cambodia. Most of the visitors face common problems here on how to withdraw money from their credit card, master card or visa card etc. The reason is because they don’t bring a lot of cash in their wallet which is very risky. So holding the card when traveling is the safest way.

So get cash from ATM?

Well, you’re not alone and you have solutions here in this country. The next time when you are coming to Phnom Penh or any parts of this country just bring your cards with you.

With my own experience, on 31st May 2014, It was my first try to get cash from Master Card that I just received from Payoneer about a month ago.

I went to the local bank ATM (ACLEDA bank), actually I was afraid to try because I didn’t know the process. But I just decided to insert my Master Card follow through the step and enter the 4 digits password.

Before proceeding to the next step of withdrawing the cash, the massage appear asking me if I want to go further by allowing the fee charge of 4 dollars? I didn’t even stop to think by just press to proceed and then I choose to with draw as CREDIT. There are a few option to choose from with Saving account, Current Account and Credit so I chose the last one.

Without waiting as normal ATM process of the local bank card, I was able to get the money from my first try without any issue at all.

Note: Just look at the sign at the local ATM if they place a sign of Visa, MasterCard, or any other type of card then just go with the name of your card then you will surely get the money.

If you want to get the card where you can get payment directly from online affiliate like Amazon or any other program online then you can apply to get PAYONEER Card. The process will take about 4 to 6 weeks to get it physically. Tips: don’t put the P.O Box during registration process.

The problem occurred due to missing file component in windows installation that blocked you from accessing the folder on FTP using Transport Layer Security (TLS). If you have problem like the case that I just had recently, try the following suggestion on FileZilla. Open the Site Manager - In the host name: fill in your host ip address or host website for FTP - Protocol: choose FTP- File Transfer Protocol - Encryption: Only use plain FTP (insecure) - User: fill in your user name - Passwords: type in your password - Account: type anything in case requested. If not can leave it blank. After completing the above information, please try to login to your FTP server again. Congratulation!
